Coaching for those new to a leadership role

Coaching for Those New to a Leadership Role

Being new to a leadership role can be very daunting and the skills and behaviours you demonstrate that secured you the position are not the same as the skills you need to thrive in a leadership position and these are different often for men and women.

You will need to manage upwards more, manage your stakeholders, create a vision and strategy, align your people behind the purpose and goals and delivery should be done less by you and more by your team so effective delegation and appropriate monitoring is essential.

In order to thrive you will need to adopt and change behaviours and set new boundaries to be successful, for example, you may need to say ‘no’ more, maybe become happier with things not being ‘perfect’ and avoid working longer hours to ensure you have the energy to sustain the role.

My coaching can give you the support you need to help you develop and achieve these new skills and attain your professional goals to be successful in your new role and to take your career to the next level.

By working closely we can identify your strengths, development points, actions you need to enact to achieve your goals and hurdles you need to overcome to be successful, this can and should include any limiting beliefs you may have that may or may not be consciously aware of that stop you fulfilling your potential.

It is not always recognised that being in a leadership position can be a lonely and isolating place. My coaching gives you the opportunity to have a sounding board for your thoughts and ideas in a completely confidential setting.

When working with you I draw on my extensive experience working in various sectors delivering and leading large global projects as well as working on the development of leaders in my various L&D roles. I have undergone extensive training and utilise my skills as a qualified, accredited and experienced coach to support you on your journey.
