About Coaching
What is Coaching?
Coaching acts as a bridge taking you from where you are to where you want to be.
It is all about you, it gives you time with someone that has only your best interests at heart as they have no self-interest in the choices you make, something that is almost impossible with anyone else in your work or home life.
Coaching provides time and space to think, be more strategic and reflect with someone supporting you through this, sometimes this is described as having a ‘thinking partner’.
My coaching sessions help you to consider issues you may have from different perspectives, explore different ways of going about things, identify things you need to consider and actions you need to take. The process helps you to own your actions making you more accountable and develops your abilities and skills by going through the process.
Coaching is not just about considering what is happening externally but what is happening internally that may be getting in the way of you achieving your goals, for example becoming aware of the beliefs we all carry, often sub-consciously, your levels of self-confidence or self-efficacy, your own doubts. By being aware of these you can work on them and so become more successful in realising your goals.
As a qualified and experienced coach I ask questions to help you do this and I plan a programme that enables you work out your best approach and if you are struggling I can offer options for you to consider.
My coachees are often wide-ranging in background and I strive to give the right level of support along with challenge to enable people to grow and achieve. See my testimonials
